Wednesday Night Bible Study
Wed. Night Adult Bible Study will resume Feb. 8th 6:30 PM at the church. We will begin a study on the book of Romans.

Knitopia
Ladies, we will meet this Thursday, 6:30 PM at Marika’s. Thank you again to everyone who helped knit the hats for the Fighting Flamingos in Afghanistan. The package is in the mail! We will be talking about our next project this Thursday, so don’t miss the fun! Come and join us! Remember, we are always happy to teach you how to knit or crochet, or help you with a difficult project.

Save the Date!
Ladies, be sure to mark your calendars for Women Ministries of the Central Conference Spring Celebration 2012, March 16-17, at Hillcrest Covenant Church in DeKalb, IL. Our keynote speaker will be the new Executive Minister of Women Ministries of the Covenant Church, Meagan Gillian. Her theme will be “The Secret to Real Refreshment”. Look for more details TBA soon including registration forms and workshops offered. Talk to Laura Miller if you are interested or have any questions.

Hearts and Hands
Ladies, we meet again this Tuesday at 6:00 PM. With cancellations of the last couple of meetings due illness and weather, we have lots to catch up on! We will work on the layettes for Congo and a blanket project. Yarn (for knit or crochet) is available if you would like to work on hats and scarves for the homeless shelters. We have also recently learned of an opportunity to help Project Linus of Hamilton County and would appreciate input into taking on this project. We could use donations of pastel and bright colored solids in cotton flannel fabric for the layettes.

BWCA 2012
Pastor Tom is planning another Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Trip for this summer. The dates are Sept. 7-16. If you are interested, or have any questions, let him know. This trip is a great time of fellowship, getting back to the basics, spiritual renewal, and retreat – all for a reasonable cost!

"Knitopia"
Meets on Thursdays at 6:30 PM at Marika Harvey’s home…Not sure if we should add more specifics on location then that… if ladies are interested in attending they can contact the church office for more info. We area knitting group but not exclusively so. There are ladies who crochet, do needle felting, spinning, and other hand crafts. We meet every other week opposite the Hearts and Hands week. We always have yummy food and great fellowship. We enjoy “field trips” to fiber festivals and usually have a knitting cruise on Eagle Creek Reservoir in the summer.

"Hearts and Hands"
!Hearts and Hands meets at 6PM every other Tuesday (opposite of Knitopia week) at the church. We are finished with the pillowcase dress project for now. We will continue with our fleece blanket ministry and other charity projects. We also enjoy just working on our own hand crafts now and then, but primarily have a missions/ ministry focus. We always enjoy dinner together before we begin our work for the evening.

Worship Arts Opportunity - The Worship Arts Gallery is now featuring works of art by Doug Hart. Please take time to look and enjoy the photography that he has done.

Practice Hospitality! One way we can do this is through coffee hour before church on Sunday mornings. This time gives us an opportunity to connect with visitors as well as other church members in a meaningful way. Contact the church office, 575-8161 to find an open spot!
