Originally, youth group was scheduled to meet at the Sellke home this Sunday night, but there has been a venue change. Instead, we’re going to see a movie.
This is a youth event, but everyone is invited. Currently there is a movie in theaters called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. It is a documentary by Ben Stein (of Ferris Bueller fame) which looks at issues of intelligent design versus Darwinian evolutionary models. Primarily, it is a look at the difficulty many scientists are having in suggesting that there is a theory of intelligent design. Whether you agree with Ben Stein’s slant on things or not, it looks to be a fascinating film, worth anyone’s time.
We will be going as a group to see it on Sunday, April 27th at 4:45 PM at the Regal Village Park Cinema 17 (2222 E 146th Street, Carmel, IN 46032). If you want to get a ticket ahead of time, let me know by 4 PM Thursday, otherwise, you may meet us at the theatre and buy your ticket there.
For more information on the film, check out the website: http://www.expelledthemovie.com/
Remember, this is a youth event, but everyone from Hope is invited (youth or adult). After the movie, we will go out to Panera (2001 E Greyhound Pass in Carmel) for a small meal and a time of discussion. This is going to be fun!
