HOPE: CORE VALUES

Who you are deep down leads to what you do. (Proverbs 4:23) These are our HOPE: CORE VALUES. If values aren’t demonstrated, they’re only wishful thinking. In order to help us demonstrate these values as we live them out, we think about these behaviors:

Hoosier1: We desire to reach one more for Christ and teach one more in discipleship. So we ask, “who’s your one?” (Matthew 18:12-14)
Outwardly Focused: We remember Jesus commissioning his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19)
Perservering: We stick with each other, stay true to Jesus, and never give up. Scripture encourage us to never give up, to keep looking up, and to keep hope alive. (Romans 15:4)
Encouraging: We encourage each other’s gifts to build a healthy and dynamic community of Jesus followers. We belong to each other and need each other. (1 Corinthians 12:4-31)

Cross Generational: We encourage friendships, partnerships, and gatherings that cross generational lines. (Malachi 4:6)
Open, never closed: We may feel like a family, but there’s always room for more. (Acts 2:42-47)
Real: We come alongside each other as fellow sinners in need of God’s mercy. (James 5:13-16)
Engaging with grace: We know that no matter how gifted we are, our gifts mean nothing if we don’t lead with love. (1 Corinthians 13)
